Notes on Other Music was published on the occasion of the Fourth Edition Festival for Other Music and collected the various essays, interviews and conversations published during the first few years of the festival alongside some new material commissioned especially for this edition.

The first printed edition of the book is long sold out. Shoom — a publisher in Russia — also translated Notes and made a lovely bilingual Russian/English edition of it, designed by Allon Kaye (of Entracte fame) that is still available.
