Solo acoustic concert by Finn Loxbo. Loxbo's current solo playing eschews abstraction for something much more direct. His guitar sounds more like a concert harp or the West African kora as he ruminates on a set of melodic fragments, shifting them through rapid-fire arpeggiated permutations with a spontaneous energy that is countered only by his extraordinary touch on the instrument and an undeniable sensitivity to his material’s dynamic potential. It’s a glorious extension of the chiming chords and experimental preparations heard in his contributions to Magnus Granberg's Skogen or via his own brilliant ensemble Kommun.

This concert is part of a series of four intimate concerts at Yeshin Norbu Meditation Centre in Stockholm featuring original works by musicians who have a meditation practice connected to a variety of Buddhist traditions.

Orchestra.
